When I do the weighted Dip machine, my final set it 8 plates for 12. However when I do it my right leg goes numb because I have to use my hips and legs to stay on the seat. The leg brace only keeps me down so much and my ass still comes up, then I keep my ass down and the pressure on my legs makes my right one go numb. First question is what is making it go numb? Second, should I work past it and keep going or forget the machine and just incorperate something else into my workout? Thanks guys!

Could be pinching the sciatic nerve and I wouldn't continue with the problem because inflammation can lead to continued(not perm.) pain/numbness

I would either lower the weights or find another simliar exercise that doesn't cause the problem.

Thanks guys, I figured it would do some damage. I guess its time to pony up for a weight belt to hang weights from so I can do them on just a stand.
