Not a great article, the physiology behind it is flat out wrong and years behind the times.

A pump doesn't mean much. The critical factor is muscle growth always has been and always will be progressive overload.

yup thats all that is to progressiv overload,...i trained my calfs on pure pump style for 50+ even 100 reps man did i waste my time on that i thought i was doing crazy trainng with all that burn and pump and days after i well sore like hell well now that i use heavy weight and reps to 30 max my calfs grow thats all to explain if u can make ur calfs grow u can make anything in my opinion
