Hey Everyone,
has anyone tried the arb total body trainer by Cybex? it's sick you can burn about 630 calories in 30 minutes if you go at really high intensity. Just a suggestion but, if your gym has one, I strongly suggest you use it, it changed my cardio forever, now I actually love cardio! (never thought I'd say that!)

I love those! I upgraded to the 3500, it has a leg extension and can recline.

Yeh, why does everyone want cardio equipment when you can go running outside? Bikes are far cheaper than any cardio devices, take them for a ride. Skipping rope is like $10!

I prefer the ellipticals since my lower back injury likes to flare up when jogging. I only jog when near my PT test. Other than that my cardio is done with equipment with as low impact potential as possible.

Yeah, to the OP the calorie guages on those machines can often be very skewed. To use an analogy, they are like a 13" ruler in that they will always be wrong but consistent. Meaning you can use them to guage your progress from one week or session to the next, but not accurately estimate the amount of calories burned soley on the guage.
