Deadlifts are very hard to tell what u can max out at, because if you do deadlifts like most people do, by not stopping and taking it one lift at a time, your bouncing the weight to help it up, nothing wrong with that but you cant tell how much youd max out at because for most people the first lift off is the hardest. Usually the way to tell how much you can put up is to take the number you can do for 10 reps, divide it by 3 and then multiply it by 2. But again deadlifts are hard to test. most people say dont do alot of reps with deadlifts, but i think if you fight for the extra reps and even if ur form slipps a bit it has seemed to put my deadlift up alot, im only 15, i weigh 145, 4 months ago i put up 245 for 4. Now im at 315 for 8 reps, i usually dont do alot of reps on warm up sets just on my last set, its like maxing out for me, i try to get my reps up to 8-10 then i go up 5 lbs the next back workout, but im kind of just starting to, so you dont have to take my word for it |
