I am 14 years old and weigh about 140 pounds and have been deadlifting for about 2 months. Last Tuesday I deadlifted 140 for 15 strict reps after 3 worksets. I was wondering how much you think my max deadlift would be because i used a prediction calculator on bodybuilding.com but it only goes up to 10 reps and it said it would be 187 for 140X10 reps. Also before I leave for vacation in 3 weeks I plan to max out on the deadlift. Is 225 a belivable amount for me to deadlift for 1 rep in 3 weeks and could someone help me with a max out warmup for 225 on the deadlift. Thanks.

If you can get 140 for 15 reps then 225 as a max seems pretty reasonable to me. Why hot just try it - work up to it by doing some singles and go up from 140 by 10 or 15lb a time doing singles until you hit your max. With regard to warm ups I would expect deads to be the first back exercise so I would do 2 warm ups.
1st at 50% of main weight for about 10 reps, then a 2nd at about 60-75% of main for about 10 or 8 reps imo.

Too hard to tell with reps that high. Don't max out though. You haven't been deadlifting long enough and it's not safe to go from 15 reps down to 1 rep max.

Completely agree! Unless you have done 1RM before you will not handle them well. I wouldn't recommend a newbie do max work at all. After you have some training experience (1-2yrs) then you can lower the rep brackets to allow testing 1RM for a cycle.

Deadlifts are very hard to tell what u can max out at, because if you do deadlifts like most people do, by not stopping and taking it one lift at a time, your bouncing the weight to help it up, nothing wrong with that but you cant tell how much youd max out at because for most people the first lift off is the hardest. Usually the way to tell how much you can put up is to take the number you can do for 10 reps, divide it by 3 and then multiply it by 2. But again deadlifts are hard to test. most people say dont do alot of reps with deadlifts, but i think if you fight for the extra reps and even if ur form slipps a bit it has seemed to put my deadlift up alot, im only 15, i weigh 145, 4 months ago i put up 245 for 4. Now im at 315 for 8 reps, i usually dont do alot of reps on warm up sets just on my last set, its like maxing out for me, i try to get my reps up to 8-10 then i go up 5 lbs the next back workout, but im kind of just starting to, so you dont have to take my word for it

er...
Ok...say i can do 100Kg for 10 reps.

so.. i divide it by 3, that's 33.3Kg.

multiply by 2: 66.6

My 1RM is 66.6 yeah, it makes sense....

but with deadlifts like i said its hard to do this cuz you bounce the weight after your first rep, un less you do 1 deadlift stop, then do another 10 xs this will not be accurate, 220 xs 10 might only be like 255 or 260 for 1 since u bounce the weight
