less fat, of course. More muscle, doubt it. With all the conditioning you do you wouldn't be able to lift as much if you wanted to because it would lead to over-training real fast. If your just in it to lose weight then I wouldn't do it. I'm sure you would have to lose the majority of it on your own before you step foot in that direction.

your going to need to drop some weight to get into the army, they have a limit before you can sign up. Joining the military is not a good idea just to loose weight. Besides if you joined the reserve, in 8 months youll be in iraq. just go on a diet and be strict with it, if you dont have enough discipline to stick to a diet, youll never make it in the military. But to answer your question....yes, you will loose weght in basic.

yeah that would be one of the harder routes to take to lose weight, plus the risk that you'll be shipped off, it's totally not worth it

Theres no way youll even get into the army reserve cause your too big, there is a weight limit I think. Plus, it would be much easier if you just lost the weight on your own.

clean up your diet, slowly phase in green tea and running/swimming/something like this and cut your calories gradually.

no need to go to the army for this
