It could work assuming that he was able to recover from those 15 days in the next 5 days. It makes sense to me.

im not so sure that this would work imo..15 days straight is a lot of work with no rest for the body..ive heard of 7 days on/3 off...when im at a lower bf% i also take off every 6th week to recover, but im working out 6 days a weeks too..who knows about the 15 days on/5 off though..ive never tried it, so i cant really knock it

depends completely on the workload, the recovery strategies, your relative work capacity, etc.

The reality is that unless you have the time to spend being a full time "athlete" then this sort of loading is not realistic.

agree with tim.

15 days on isnt all that long. deloading would be a better idea imo.

Tim is right - I mean if it is a case of doing one muscle group per day so you don't actually retrain any given muscle until 5 days later then it would possible to keep up, but it's effectiveness I would say would be limited.

are you supposed to feel like you need time to recover, with what i consider a decentley intense routine i never really feel the need to take 2 or 3 days off. i also have heared from my wrestling coach that it takes only 48 hours for both stamina and strength to start depleting. is this true?

That is variable. Factors such as diet, previous training level, current training pararmeters, GPP, external commitments, etc, etc, etc.

Some people can take several weeks off and not lose any strength, but will lose some conditioning. Others need to maintain a maintenance program of some sort to keep any conditioning at all.

So how long is a piece of string?

Try it. But 15 days no rest seems tough to keep to even if u have 5 days recover straight afterwoods
