Just thought id throw out a plug for these. I got a pair of these (model A) in the last few months, and i HIGHLY reccomend them for anybody here who is serious about squatting. You feel sooo much more stable under the bar, my lift for the same number of reps went up 25 lbs in just one week with them on. The company was awesome too in they emailed me as soon as they got my order and kept me updated the whole time. Well worth the money.

But there is nothing like squatting in your running shoes! Especially in 3/4 length jeans.

Seriously though, good find. There are no "gym" shoes suitable in any normal stores...... "normal store" there's the problem I suppose, it's not normal to want to actually do hard work in the gym.

hahaha f u Jorn, it was like 5-10 lbs or something, goes to show you the power of placebo effect.

The material is really supportive/ reinforced, unlike typical shoes, i love them. Great for people who squat olympic/bodybuilder style. You see all the olympic lifters use them.

Good find there.

Nothing worse than squatting in ordinary running shoes I think. A sole that's designed for mans running patterns hardly translates into one ideal for the very stationary squatting motion.

I've found that skate shoes are not that bad for squatting in due to the very thin sole which gives you a better "feel" throughout the squat and also their flatter, wider base.

My mizuno's are perfect for squatting because they were designed for extremely flat footed feet so it helps out a lot.

I have the Nike Free ones, and they work fine. I mean, if a shoe is really going to help me add weight and more muscle density, then hell yeah, i'll jump to it. But I doubt that shoe styles are miracles in the weight room.

Not miracles, but they help a lot. Adidas makes a bunch of great shoes, regardless, if you are squatting a lot of weight in cross trainers, you are missing out.
