Depends how hard you go and how much you need it.

Basically what we're all saying is.... whatever works for you.

Not much help, I know.

Yeh sorry to be so vague, but if you fill us in with a few goals and things we could possibly give some recommendations.

ok...well it's going to take diet and cardio bro.

I'd start with 20mins after training on weight days, and 45 minutes on off days...medium intensity to start so you can save some muscle then do intervals for speed once you've lost some weight. Just my 2 cents.

30 min for general cardiovascular fitness and 60 min for weight loss. 3-5 days per week. This is basically what i learned from a class i took. Not sure how true it all is.

I like the idea of sprint intervals. 10mins worth of sprint intervals will help with training speed, plus it really hits the cardio/fitness aspect.

As for the run longer without getting out of breath. Build up time spent at a speed. Don't just run for a time. Pick a decent pace and do it for longer each time. I prefer this to trying to improve your pace at a time interval.
