What's up dudes. What kind of squatting technique do you use. Front squats. Barbell on back squats. Dumbbell squats, or do you even SQUAT? You don't know squat. SHUT UP AND SQUAT. Anyways. I usually squat all the way down to the floor and push up really hard. I was wondering if it's better to do partial squats, like squatting with your ass hitting a bench press bench (to activate more fibers.) But instead just going a little further (Removing the bench.) My height is 5' 10" just in case you ask about leverage. I think that I would still get a good contraction with partial squats. Does this active the same amount of fibers in the glutes and hams as well?? :tagteam:

I like to use front squat most of the time, but i will do barbell on my back squats also. As far as form i use strict form and stop parralell to the ground the go up just before lock out

Alright, I tried these out for my first time today and it was unbelievable. I usually max at 215lbs. doing squats all the way to the ground. By doing partial squats (half way down, and not locking out on top) I was able to push 280lbs. for a good solid 10 reps, I probably could of done more but I didn't want to fuck up my joints becuase I know this is a lot more than what I'm used to. I noticed that doing it partially took all of the stress off of the glutes, most of the stress off of the hams, and put all (and I mean all) of the stress into my outer thighs, the pump in my outer thighs made the sweep look unbelievable. I think that for now on I will do these. And for hams and glutes, I will do strict form with Lunges all the way to the ground. What would anyone recommend for working out the tear drops of the quads, maybe leg presses with the feet together, and at the bottom of the sled on the press??

I WILL LET YOU GUYS KNOW HOW THE BURN FEELS IN THE MORNING, AND WHERE IT IS FELT THE MOST. THANKS FOR READING

I do something people think is wierd sometimes
When I`m doin back squats I`ll alternate between partial and paralell, during the set
1 rep full next rep partial back and forth for the set.
I don`t do it every time, just when I`m bored.

hey man squats r great i hated when people do leg press instead.......i feel that leg press just make u pack on the plates and does little for your quads...i sometimes do leg press for hams by placing my feet uo high....for squats i do them with my heels on a 10 or 5 pound plate and i dont lock out on the top then i do hack squats and i dont lock out on this one and my final is leg extentions which i do lock out on this exersice to get a full contraction and i dont squats below paralel cuz if u squat very low it will activate more your glutes and not to mention that my legs r my strongerst most impressive body part....

i feel that partials r amazing for strength but not for mass....my bench is really weak comparing to my squats so i strated doing partials and my strength started to go up the roof

i do barbell on back, 4-5 good sets (quads parralel) then i usually end it with 1 set of going to the floor (with lighter weight) to really just burn it out. as for leg press, you don't get nearly the workout you do with squats, imo
