i was hoping this can turn out to be a huge thread with everybody putting their advice in what i want to know is what is the greatet training advice you ever heard, from a pro that told you or maybe a trainer you have. just to put lots in here that maybe i and others havent heard before
wheather it'd be training in general
bodyparts
training relating to resting/days off/ sets and reps
posing

whatever it is
ill start one of my favourite ones comes from dennis james he said
"if you really want to put on mass, train each bodpart only once per week. when you first reduce your workout frequency, youll probably feel that you're not doing enough, but remember that the only time you grow is while you rest. you grow when you're home, with your ass on the couch, drinking a protein shake and watching something stupid on tv."

lol jorn
ha lithium quoting the bible
ps try to make it good and general..? i guess?...nothing like "oh, u must do leg extensions at a rep speed of this and for so many reps before you can do this and after you finish that " ect bullshit just something you can learn from
i like this one
" i add variety to my training by alternating two differnt workouts for a bodypart instead of following the same workout all the time. when i do bak training i alternate a workout that focuses on heavy deadlifts and rows with one that hits the upper lats thru chins (ronnie chins?! :O) and pulldowns. the first one works the lower back and adds back thickness, and the second one works the uper lats for width."
the point of the post?
"doing it this wway hits the back from a variety of angles with maximum strength and energy!"

ronnie 8 time mr o babay!

i would say 'eat, sleep, train and repeat'1. limit your training
2. learn to you alot and get in your protein
3.if your training for a bb then train more for feel, if your training for a bowerlifter then train for the numbers
4. learn to stretch- to keep flexible, so you dont get injured but not haave the flexiblety..
5. always do the basics lifts, dont do fancy stuff

Well unfortunatly I cannot take credit for this but when I read it I busted out in a fit of laughter. Its from the accomplished strength coach Alwyn Cosgrove. Enjoy.

This is one of yates favourite quotes and one of mine

Absorb what is useful, Discard what is not, Add what is uniquely your own" - Bruce Lee

* If ur a beginner write every thing down. Experiment and find out what is going to work for U. Don't blindly follow some one elses routine. The guys who made it to the top constantly reassessed what they where doin to get there

It doesn't matter how you look with your shirt on, once the shirt comes off, the bullshit stops.
