i did a search and reading what I can find on this and other forums, i was wondering what the guys who've really tried it thought...

is a several series run of H.I.T. cardio of 20 min or so really better than 30-45 minutes of moderate speed cardio?

still trying to drop the lbs so I'm very curious as to what would be the best time vs. effort set up would be...

thanks ,

HIIT is awesome, ive been doing a lot lately, try going on a 45 secs- 1 min sprint on an incline on the treadmill, say 8.0 speed on a level 12 incline, then walk for 2-3 mins, repeat for about 20-30 mins, you wont be disappointed

I would agre that higher intensity cardio is better.

Yates put it this way when talking about weight training intensity and I think it applies:

You can tap a banger all day without it going off but if you hit it hard once then it's gonna go bang.

Or something like that...

I like it for the convenience - less time - as well as the fact that its useful outside of the gym. Unless you are in a walking club with some divorced soccer moms, whats the point of being able to walk but not run? It transfers to sports and a balanced life.

I think its good to mix things up every now and then. For one session try HIT then the next go moderate.
