Do you use an inhaler before exercise? I have asthma myself, however, I jog indoors at my fitness gym. I do 5 minutes warm up, 1 min a little faster, another min faster, then run hard. The next minute I jog or walk according to how good of shape I am in at the time. I also use an eliptical machine to do HITT. Same pattern. I do not usually have any asthma if I do it the way I describe. If I run hard more than a minute, then my asthma will act up. This can turn into quite a workout. I think the 1 minute rule would work for you. You might have to experiment to see when you start to wheeze. Being inside, during cold weather, helps to ward off the asthma. I am sure you understand this concept about cold weather but thought I would mention it. Good luck, Rock |
