i asked my trainner coz of his experiance i asked em whats the best workout for da shoulders that make it looks huge but after he told me da workout i realised that i got more experiance than em :) but i'll tell u da exercise and u tell me ur opinion.. coz i guess it's the worst workout ever

1-Seated Rear Barbell Press 4x10
2-Seated Dumbbell Rear Raises 4x15
3-Standing Dumbbell Rear Raises 4x15
4-Seated Dumbbell Press 4x10
5-Dumbbell Side Raises standing 7x15

but my workout that i used to do it

1-Seated Front Barbell Press 4x10
2-one hand dumbell press 4x10
3-Dumbbell Side Raises standing 4x10
4-Standing Dumbbell Rear Raises 4x15
5-Barbell Shrugs traps 4x10

so which one is better 2 get big good lookin' shoulders or if u got ur own workout be my guest

Well I have to say that the 2nd workout is the better of the 2 imo. I understand where he was coming from in attacking th rear delts which are normally overlooked, expecially seeing as the front delts are worked through lots of chest exercises. However, I'm not a fan of behind neck presses for preventing injury reasons. Your routine looks good for hitting all the heads and getting the traps in there too!

behind the neck barbell press is begging for an injury in my opinion. I'm not sure about your one hand dumbell press though...I think one pressing movement is enough if you're training hard enough.

id just do one pressing movement alternate - seated dumbell with barbell each week
rear raises
side raises
shrug variation
short and easy yet basic

I gotta say your trainer gives all us other trainers bad names when it comes to giving advice. I would agree with a previous post and isolate the muscles initiallly by doing lateral raises aqnd then move on to the rest of your workout which seems pretty good. Try alternating heavy sessions 6-8 reps for 3 weeks then have 2 weeks lighter 10-12 reps. this will shock the muscles and therefore increase size.

I agree BHN sucks

His routine is better for the single reason it has less sets total.

BTW, front, side,or rear raises suck in general and shouldn't make up the bulk of your training.
