This is only recommended for Advanced:

Flat Bench Press
Incline Bench Press
Flat Dumbbell Flys
(1 other exercise of your choice)

For the first 3 exercises Breakdown your sets as follows:
(Increase the weight after every set enough so you can make the rep count for your next set. It takes time/practice to get use to)
Set 1 - 20 reps
Set 2 - 15 reps
Set 3 - 10 reps
Set 4 - 5 reps
Set 5 - 3 reps

(The next 3 sets should be done with weight that you can only rep 1-2 times. **USE A SPOTTER**)
Set 6 - 1-2 reps
Set 7 - 1-2 reps
Set 8 - 1-2 reps

Doing this for 4 weeks; I went from struggling with 135lbs to now, for my last 3 sets, benching 225lbs. *Don't use this as your chest routine all the time, supplement this into your routine for 1-2 months. Then change it back to a normal workout of 4 sets at 8-10 reps for a little while. Then supplement this back in. You will be sore for the next couple of days if you don't take in a really good amount of protien and get alot of rest.

Please take into consideration weight when you start this. I can max 225lbs at the end of this. I start off with only 115lbs for my first set. It will take awhile to get use to the flow. ALWAYS DO ALL 8 SETS, DON'T CHEAT!

you need ur head examined if u claim any thing is the best routine. 8 sets is overtrainning and if u are apply a pyramid protocol to this then ur garantteed to lose form and thus injur your self

Well it's A routine. Not the best, but it may work for some people for a while as a pyrmaid system! Thanks for posting!

a) There's no best routine
b) There are alot better chest routines out there.
c) Till you realize that you shoudn't be talking about a 'muscle' routine but a full body program, your not allowed to use the word 'best'.

I'm happy it worked for you, but it's far from optimal.

Anything containing pyramid training isn't very good imo. Alot of diffrent rep ranges is good, but you live outside the hypertrophy zone.

Maybe i should have changed the title. Notice i said to supplement this into your workout for a month to two. I didn't say "OH do this its the only way to train your chest." Or did i?

In reply to the overtrainning, Thats why i said only for advanced, as in you have been bodybuilding for 4+ months, and studied bodybuilding for atleast a year. So that you have all the proper motions and you understand the correct way to train and eat.

No offense to anyone, but this is way Arnold & Franco trained their chest. And Arnold's chest is one of the biggest ever. I just changed the Set count. He says 9 sets: 20, 10, 5, 3 then for the last 5 sets 1-2)

Thanks Rocky, You might be the gay mod; but atleast you're not an asshole.

So I am? I'm just tired of the training section lately. This isn't CLOSE to the the best routine. No for a matter of fact, it SUCKS. There're so many things wrong with it, it's not even funny. The only thing that's right about it, is that you actually do some benching motions. That's how I really thought about it, so I was nice to you.

Arnold is a moron and knows shit about training. He's a genetic monster, that's why his chest was big. And if Arnolf has a big chest and thus his routine must be good, better start copying Ronnie then

People need to stop calling me an asshole because I know more. I put some much studies up here, you guys could have know so much by now, but you're all lazy mofo's and I wasn't even rude in my post, I simply said how things are. I'm so done with this section, I'll go to Hdogg's profile once every month and see what he posted, only thing that's any intresting to me. Pretty much all the other time I spent here, I'm helping others, not myself. But that's not good enough, I need to be more polite, what did you want me to say. Excuse me sir, I hope you don't get mad, because no one likes it to hear they are wrong, but I think you have some erros in your post, let me list them:
'copying EVERY word'

The dungeon is growing every day. Too bad they're all morons.

Good luck without me, good luck with those biceps curls, flyes because the inside of your chest is bad, good luck with leg extensions, because sqauts are dangerous, good luck with your supers sets and good luck with those pumos you get with it. Good luck with your training splits, good luck with good luck with your program for ADVANCED. Good luck with your bodybuilding for 4 whole good months and good luck with studing bodybuilding for a good year. It shows off.

I love your post Jorn, please rant on in your own topic. thanks One thing sticks out in my head, Arnold is a Mr. Olympian, and you are not. And any bodybuilder would know to respect the Professional Bodybuilders before them. Don't ignorantly say things about them.

In response to fLesh23, he did them for all 4, I only do it for 3. I add one normal (4sets 8-10reps) exercise; and some pullovers at the end. So obviously i didn't just copy his routine Jorn.

I simply posted this because it has increased my chest size and strenght rapidly, Maybe im just a genetic monster like arnold.

P.S. I've been bodybuilding for about 9 month Jorn, and studied it for 1 1/2 years. I only refered to the 4 months for other ppl. They should have a good deal of knowledge before do this.

there are some guys who do 8 sets in my gym there and they are pretty big. i mean not muscle big but fat big but are very strong. this person is a strength trainer and hits like 10 sets and all every where. definately overtraining and they do the same thing every day of the week. i dont even talk to them cuz i dont believe in their type of training at all!

Its over trainning when the body isn't use to extreme stress. Also the consumption of carbs/protein come into play. I also only do chest once every 6th day, so Say i did chest on Monday. I wouldn't do it again till Saturday. This has something to do with my trainning schedule and work schedule.
