I just came form gym couple hours ago. When i was doing leg press (i havent done it for like 4 months) and I was being stupid and added lots of weight and i was doing this very slowly. After 9th and I was on 10th rep, I felt a pain (like a twist) on my lower back and i managed to do the 10th rep but when i got up i felt tremendous pain in my lower back.

I still feel the pain, hard to walk, even when im sitting, and i cant bend down.
I tried getting sleep for 2 hours, it didnt help. Will it go away after time? or do i need to see my family doctor?

Anyone ever had this pain/twist/compress before? Right now i feel so bad, I dont want this pain to be permanent. I cant live watching my muscles shrink.

Thanks guys and sorry for my bad English.

Hey man, i have a lower back problem too, and it is really bad at the moment (it causes my right leg to go numb at times). One of the things that causes it to flare up for me is leg presses - so i stopped doing them.

The pain will take time to go. For the time being try and get some anti-inflammatories and lie down with your legs slightly elevated. I generally find when i fuck my back up badly i am useless for about two days and then it slowly gets better. I would stay away from leg presses for a while man....

Well you have a couple of days for it to improve. I work in a warehouse so i have to do heavy lifting every week whether my back is stuffed or not. Wear a belt if possible and MAKE SURE you lift by bending your knees. I know everyone always says this but when your back is stuffed it is really important.

Good luck man.

I would be careful with lower back pain, if it is going down your legs you may have a herniated disk in your lower back. Yes this problem can sometimes fix itself but if it doesnt go away in a few days go to the doc.

Yea bro i fucked myback up doing t bar rows, to heavy shaked form, anyway i slide some nerves out of the side of my spine, (and thank God it healed) it just takes time bro. the pain will subside. i heated it and then let it cool down to rrom temp bc heat will bring haling blood, but if its structural, like spinal like mine was u just gotta wait for it to heal. U might try the dog just to be sure what it is bro.

Please be safe and Godbless.

I hate to see anyone get injured bc i know what its like to be out for a while, but youll heal and youll be smarter when u do bro. wish u the best!

Ben

NO! Dont orce anything bro, your body is signaling u to feel pain for a reason. When i hurt my back bro i culdnt hardly get out of bed or stand up str8, now that i think about it im really thanking GOD, bc i healed up. But bro if anything hurts it does s for a reason. if u just injured it u might try ice to decrease inflammation. if u choose to heat it make sure u ice it a little bit later NOT DIRCTLY AFTER! heat will make blood come to the injury and help heal it, but it will also inflame it and couse pain bro, so i think ice would be the way to go.

Its a difficult time and all u can do is just keep on livin and let it heal. hen u choose to come back to the gym come back slowly and dont push yourself. When u feel your healed at least 90% u can push a little harder. when u feel your a 100% try a full routine and be careful to not push yourself for a week or 2. once u feel no pain get ready to hit it again, but be careful bro, i hate readoing about injuries bc i know what it feels like man. stay strong and keep YOUR goals in mind bro.

Godbless and stay healthy let that back heal.

Ben

EDIT: also bro sleeping with your feet elevated will release pressure on your spine.

did the same thing man, just on deadlifts. Severe Strain of the Lower Back was my problem, yours could be worse and may not be as bad. I couldnt squat heavy again for 2 months My advice would be if you can still feel it when doing everyday things after a week, see a doctor.

just came back from docotor, he told me to bent down till i can and i started to scream as i got lower lol. He said he doesnt see any difference on my back and told me to get some xrays and come back after 4 days. He also said it takes about a week for the pain to go away.

After that lady took xrays i asked to see them but she said shes not allowed to show em to people other than doctors
