hey, ive been working out for the last 9 months but recently ive been throwing up during my leg workouts, i have no idea why this is, ive been bulking up the last few months so i do a 5 day split; mon-legs, tues-chest, wed-back, thurs-shoulders, fri-arms (i have a very fast metabolism so i cut out all cardio, plus i walk about 1-2 miles everyday walking to and from campus)...back to the topic for example today for lunch at 2 oclock i ate kidney beans, chicken, some carrots and milk, then i just had water between then and 6 when i started my workout. about 45 min into my workout (after 1000 lb leg press) i didnt feel so well, but legs arent supposed to be fun to work out, however it makes it much less fun when you throw up for the last 3 weeks in the middle of my workout. i am not currently supplementing on anything but protein, which i take after my workout so that cant be the problem, and i definitely give myself more than enough time to digest my food, any ideas....sorry bout the long post but i just wanted to get all the details in there

thx

I feel like I'm going to throw up fairly often with legs days. It's just that it works you so hard. It might have something to do with how much pressure you build up in your core to stabilize yourself too.

I would try dropping the milk out of your pre workout meal. I don't even know if I would refer to it as a pre workout meal being four hours before your workout. I don't know how you find the energy to even finish your workout.

There is another thread on this site that I know of titled "Throwing Up" that is very simular to this one. Look throwing up is just a part of the game, it is sometimes what seperates the winners from the wannabees in this game.
I also don't belive that it has anything to do with you being lactose intolerant, I get up at 5:00 a.m. with nothing in my stomach and still puke crap from the day before. I'm not sure why you puke, but I can say it is normal for this to happen.

I think this was covered in another thread but I wouldn't say throwing up makes you a winner, I'd say it means you aren't eating properly compared to your training times. There are occasional exceptions to this, but regular throwing up during training is not good in my book.

Throwing up doesn't make you a winner, it's just when some people get to this point they stop or try and avoid this from happening again, you just can't let this scare you away from hard leg days. I didn't say that throwing up was good for you either, I just said it was apart of the game. I was also trying to make a point about eating, it doesn't matter if I eat 10 mins. before or 10 hrs. before I will still puke! Don't get me wrong if I could have a heavy leg workout and not puke that would be the shit, I don't get-off on puking.
