Anyone has the problem of overdeveloped glutes? Mine is 38.5' and my thigh is only 23'.

Currently 5'11 180lbs 9-10% bodyfat. Coud it be the problem be that i store most of my bf in my glutes? I feel that it is offset-ing my proportion and symmetry.

Anyone has this problem? Maybe for all those hardcore ATG squatters who competes? How do you bring your glutes down?

hey, I'm also a glutes man... it's genetics. But I like women with fleshy asses and so I 'm ok: I give what I take
also as 'void' mentioned - be cautious on squats.
you may also have "unfavorable" fat storage... others have a gut you have an ass

Lol actually no... my gut is pretty lean and my back is ripped up. My thigh cuts are not comparable to my upper body though. So maybe i would probably lean down after i'm done bulking.

Main Qns: Anyone actually solved the glute problem? According to Flex wheeler on Gustavo Baddell, he has over developed glutes and it isn't a plus point...

If it's actual over muscled glutes than along with doing front squats, don't go below parallel in any squatting movement as this tends to involve more ham and glute!

Also when doing leg presses or hack squats be careful of your foot position. Don't position your feet too high on the leg press as Cutler's been said to do these because his hams and glutes are incorporated more than normal. In the hack squat don't position your feet too high either or go too low in the negative portion.

As you said, your quads are only 23" so maybe your glutes just developed a little fast and after your quads grow you'll balance out. You're only 17 and over time our physiques tend to balance out the longer you train, somethings just respond really quick while others play catch-up for awhile. Besides...girls don't like guys with flat asses anyways

I'm only 165 and have a 38.5 ass with 23" thighs as well, bodyfat is at 7-8%, I dont look at it being negative though, its what stands out just a little more. Plus the ladies do love it

I wouldn't completely shy away from movements involving the glutes. As others have said only hit parallel in leg movements and switch to front squats a little more often. I have a simliar problem but I don't know any measurements so I can't say if its anything like yours. I used to be a big squatter and I started to do front squats more and its amazing how weak my quads are. Instead of saaayy...squatting every week..alternate between front squats and back squats. as far as hamstring movements w/o hitting glutes I would say just to stick to leg curls.

I don't really feel SLDL's in my glutes either to be honest.
