hey guys
If you guys have seen my log. you guys have noticed that i go extramely heavy for about six to eight full reps. I'm thinking about backing off the weight and thinking of training more like JayCuts does. in terms of training for a pump and not to great strong/big.. and go some what heavy. Jay has n't had an injury but has had hip problems. i wanna some day turn pro or at least compete. and i just wanna prolong my training. i gotta ya, right now i get nervous before a training day bc of the weights i'm going to use.. iis it possible to great big without going extramely heavy for a non gear user or you just have to go heavy??

I think you don't have to worry about getting injured in the 8-12 rep range as long as you have proper form, atleats this goes for me. Just experiment with your body and see what works best as far as high volume/low intensity or low volume/high intensity. I think big bg has a good point about training lighter here and there. This post shows the benefits of training higher reps (15-20) cartilage cracking....

Personally I think training like jay cutler, you got to be on roids and other enhance chemicals just like what he's taking in to expect to get good gains close to him or even just like him or even those guys in flex, muscle mags ect. Ofcourse he is able to lift within those 8-12 reps because of those 8-12 reps he is lifting massive weights compared to normal natural bodybuilder and don't forget these "stars" are able to train almost everyday with the same massive poundages and the same high intensisty due to substances and chemicals they are taking in. Believe me if you consider wanting to get big and not take steroids you have to lift heavy wieghts, not that it has to do with ego but lifting weights within 8-12 reps and not going heavy won't get you the size you want. Pumps don't mean anything other then lactic acid producing. Naturally you can't get big without getting strong and as well you gotta eat big meals and have good rest and recuperation. Please don't waste your time and expecting to get gains lifting 8-12 reps and not lifting heavy unless your just like these "stars" consuming enormous amounts of chemicals. You won't get injured unless you have good perfect technique and form.

well look who it is again. why do you have to bring steroids into every single post of yours? who ever said you have to be on roids to get gains from training high reps? i know of many people, including myself, who train higher reps and get great gains in mass. you say you don't get injured if you have proper technique? then explain powerlifters. they have flawless form but from lifting so heavy they get injuries left and right. look, i don't want to start another useless thread about drugs, im just saying my piece.

Your starting a useless thread about drugs by saying your piece by assuming I'm bringing Steroids up to start an argument. I brought about steroids because he thinks training like jay cutler will get him or any other bodybuilder not consuming anything will get them good muscle mass just like the "pros" which i was reffering to not anybody else. But in reality if you want to look like those guys you got to consume what they are taking in, don't tell me somebody who doesn't take anything is possible to have their freakish size. Ok you may know right technique and how to perform it but once again nobody is perfect and considering lifting amounts of weights the pro powerlifters are lifting is really difficult to get good form everytime lift is executed. Getting good gains I personally think is heavy low rep compound lifts and reps consisting around 5-6 as well eating right and enough rests. High reps only produce lactic acid by giving you that pump. If you think your getting great gains from 8-12 reps thats good for you keep doing what your doing but that isn't going to change my mind on getting good gains. Why do you like arguing with me? well i'm not suprised anyways I was just giving my opinion, answer me back all you wan't this is lastime I'm gonna reply to you.

i know some pros that use natural gear in tibulus and natural GH. I think that you have to remember that jay cutler can recoer much faster due to eating 10 meals, sleeping 12 hours and other things he does.

Many people say that Jay should've been Mr O '01 but thats for a different board and forums.

my main question is, can a bodybuilder stay grow by using moderately heavy weights?? but only going for 10reps.

I used Jay as an example because we all know that Jay doesnt do the heavy stuff...
