Good to keep seeing your pics - I'm storing them up! :kekegay:

I know what you mean about underhand rows being better contraction - I always do them this way for that reason!

Energy again with those few carbs! Gonna call you Duracell from now on.
Nice work man. Can't wait to see the contest pics of you on the top of the podium stciking your fingers up at the camera and shouting "I'm the baddest, I'm the baddest of them all!"

Or maybe just "thanks" without the swearing! Keep it up man.

posings going well peanut. I just practice every now and then and do some in the gym to shit people off. I analyse my posing a little bit in photos i make. Haha rocky. Just compete with me and u wont have to store photos of me for your spank bank you can have a full 3d image to do whatever you want with! wait.... you'll Probably just flex me off stage no doubt. Chesticles the kick backs are a bit different i really have to be open minded about em. My girlfriend's suggestion so and thanks for the compliments q80 and rocky. Im suprising myself on low carbs let me tell you

Ok im all smileyed out. My girlfriend took this photo. Shes 5 foot 2 and she had the need to kneel down for the shot. So its looking up at my upperbody giving the look that my lower body is smaller. Tommorrow is a leg day I might show some photos of my legs pumped should i think of it at the time.

Today was arms.
My log might be a bit more detailed now. Ive started to log it in an actual book while i train. noting sets/reps/weight how effective was the exercise on the target muscle? Form flaws. etc its good stuff.

tricep pushdowns
2 warm up sets on the crappy stack (i can push out the stack for 20 reps without even thinking about it on the crappy stack i think its 140 pounds on that stack where the good stack i probably max out on 140 pounds i was repping on 50 kilos so 111 pounds or so on the good stack.)

40 kilos by 12 reps
45 kilos by 6 reps! strip 35 kilos by 6 reps
regrouped took a wide grip 50 kilos by 8 reps 30 kilos by 6 reps awesome burn and pump.

Bench dips! lol legs achilles heel off another bench straight legs version
bodyweight by 15
20 kilos by 15
40 kilos by 10 20 kilos by 3 bw by 6
35 kilos by 12 30 kilos by 2 20 kilos by 0 bw 2 reps
these felt really good! I gotta work on them obviously my weights sucked here. But i'll definately use them more often.

1 arm dumbell overheads
12.5 kgs for 12 reps They didnt feel like a good burn, no focus.
15 by 8 I went through a smaller movement and they burnt a lot more. Better set!
15 kg by 7 same burn as 2nd set.

Barbell curls
30kgs by 12
40 by 12 Just felt like i was doing the motions.
40 by 7 better focus on the first 3rd of movement and negative phase. Awesome feel
HAMMER TIME
20kg by 11 each arm, 22.5 kg by 9 each arm Awesome feel and good to watch in the mirror.
high cable curl
40 pounds failure,50 pounds failure, 40 pounds failure
If hammer curls were good to watch in the mirror these were great to watch. I love seeing the fibers stretch and contract on these while visualising hitting a front double bi and back double bi.

wrist curls
20kg failure 2 sets supine, 12.5kg 2 sets pronate Only comment here is i need to do them more, I definately feel them working the target muscle. And nothing makes more veins pop out!

Overall a good session.! A few weights took hits barbell curls and hammer curls took weight and rep hits but my tris were strong I thought and they are my arm weakpoint so all is good. PLus bis wern't all bad. I did get a good pump. As I said tommorrow is leg day. Then the day after my first carb day with chest and back planned for it... OOOO yeah If i get pumped photos of me carbing up on chest and back It will be nothing short of amazing. lol

that is all...

Damn it Duracell, another line to go with HAMMER TIME! Can add "I'll be back" with those eyes!
Your condition improves in every photo man. Really impressive, and your legs by no means look small, they look thick and detailed. You're gonna cream them at this show. Just wish I was there to holler you on! In fact - on the night I'll ring you and you can put the phone on speaker and I'll shout!!

cheers everyone. Especially rocky and peanut. You guys keep me strong cause I know if it was just upto me Id probably give up on this contest and not bother Im avid this is my bodybuilding retirement if have a body better then my first show. Im pretty carb depleted today. I had 10 carbs in a protein revival after my leg session today I hope that didn't spike me the day befor my first carb day! Im still under 20 carbs with 2 or so meals to go today even with the shake. So hopefully 10 carbs at once wasn't that bad. 31 or 32 days out. Somethin like that... I can't count.

Today I trained legs. And brought back the behind the neck free weight squat. For the first time in a llllllllooooong time. It was good. Being a tall man and going fairly deep nearly any time i do these squats (although this time was just beyond parralel) even so because im 6 foot 3 whenever i squat my style i incorporate a fair bit of lower back. Like probably not much more then the average. But for a man with a fucked up lower back it really felt good. Didnt strain my lowerback just good muscle tension on some of the last few reps on a few of the sets and I really felt the drive phase in my hammies. So for a man that can't do deadlifts or stiff leg deadlifts at the moment. These squats were really beneficial! But enough idol talk.

behind the neck squats
warm up 50kg by 10 90kg by 10
130 kg by 10 oooooo felt good on the hams
150 by 6 Good feel on lower back here could of got more reps but didnt want to push incase lowerback decided it would wobble
155kgs by 5 reps felt pretty damn heavy proabbly could of got more reps but the first time doing em in a while and on low carbs i was happy with that effort.

Switched to front smith machine squats to take out my lowerback(incase i worked it too much)
50kg by 12
90kg by 9 al;sdkl;askd! Im stuffed lol! Good focus tho. Especially on middle part of quad.

Seated leg curl
3 sets 80-150 pounds 15-9 reps Tight and warm baby. Awesome groove on my hams.

lunges lol
15s in each hand 8 off each leg good feel on hams. I wanted to feel it in glutes tho!
20s in each hand 4 reps off each leg lol better on glutes tho!
20s in each hand 6 reps off each leg (slightly better) good feel on all of the thigh.

Standing calf raises. (first time on these in a while too)
warm up 300 pounds for 12 reps, 450 pounds for 12 reps.
2 working sets
600 pounds for 12 reps
700 pounds for 12 reps (3 of them were probably closer to partials then full reps)
200 pounds to failure on the seated calf machine

15 minutes of stretching, 15 minutes of being a gym rat and then i was out of there.

TOMMORROW IS MY HIGH CARB LOW PROTEIN DAY...
CHEST AND BACK
Im quite excited can't wait to be full again. I assume by midday I'll have gained 2 maybe 4 kilos. Depending how much water and glycogen i can store yay!
the menu is going to be oats, fruit, dried fruit, and probably just repeating those
My goal is to really get a good back pump for this session. Lots of visualising techinques to go into it. Its still my weakpoint and Im not game to show photos of it until maybe contest day.

as i never stick to a program i need to be slapped in teh face. I really want to make a goal to stick to a push/pull/legs split ala rocky with elements of the 5's theory i think i saw peanut do. (after my contest ofcourse) im thinking legs, push, rest, pull, rest, rest repeat. So every group gets done once every 6 days. starting off with 3 sets of 5 on say 70% of 1rm and progressively changing it session to session. 4 sets of 5 , 5 sets of 5, Higher weight 3 sets of 5 etc. Dunno if thats what ill do but i'll read up on it.
Legs
Behind the neck squat
Barbell Lunge
Standing calf raise.

push
Inc Barbell.
Barbell military press.
Close grip bench.

Pull
Deadlift (if i can do them again) if not a high pull or goodmornings
Barbell row
Close grip weighted chinups.

Abs on some training days.
Any suggestions? Im really keen to give legs, push, pull a try especially with this only do 5 reps buisness.
