I tried bent over rows with both reverse and overhand.. In my opinion overhand works better.

Fair do's! I guess different things work for different people. Perhaps I'll give overhand another crack, like you say to keep things mixed up a bit. Where do you pull the bar to when doing it this way? To your belt/waist or higher on your body. Also, how wide do you have your grip?

when I do overhand grip, my grip is right where the knurl starts. so its pretty close when I do overhand. When I go reverse grip its a little wider, about 1-2 inches from where the knurl starts. I go a little wider when doing reverse just b/c it feels really akward if I bring my grip closer. And, with overhand grip ill hit around my belly button, with reverse grip its a little below my belly button.

hmmm, now that i think of it. maybe i felt it in my lats more doing reverse b/c my grip is wider.

I was doing mine the exact opposite. Narrow for reverse and wide for overhand. I'll try narrow for overhand next session. If my back holds out! Sorry, seem to have filled your log up with impertinent questions.

does anyone think that doing SLDL on leg days is too much? I used to do them in fridays, with back, but today i noticed my lower back was getting fatigued pretty quickly.

Hmm...Im interested to see peoples opinions on whether or not SLDL is too much for leg days, cause I always do RDLs on leg day. Hope its not overkill!

I've always alternated SLD and RDL on leg day, but then that's because I can't do squats so it's the only heavy exercise I can do. Was wondering the same thing though for when I finally get to doing squats whether DL was too much.

I was thinkin last night, i might alternate SLDL and standing leg curls. i dont think there is any chance of me overtraining doing that, plus it would keep variation in my workout.

i forgot to add today was kind of a shock day for legs. squat will stay the same, but leg presses will change. leg presses were kind of done at a, "ill put on w/e and do it as many times as i can". and the set of 4 was done with a belt. and, the set of 5 was done with a belt and wraps, in squat. its more for safety than anything else, but that will remain the same for the time being.
