I would still go through my cutting phase and probably just walk for a couple of hours everyday. I've just really thought about the future and how horrible it would be if i get a more serious injury b/c I didn't listen to my body. Especially since I will start to compete regularly in 2007. I think its the smart thing to do, but I am curious as to what all of you think. Thanks in advance....
I think what you are planning on doing is very smart and full credit to you for doing this because I know it must be hard for you to imagine not training for that long. Amped is right about listening to your body and I'm sure you've thought about this long and hard so take it easy and good luck on your recuperation!

I concur with the others. The fact that you are thinking about taking such a time off is a good sign. Better to stay injury free (or as good as) especially whilst younger - it will only benefit you later on in life and your lifting career! All the best man! you'll come back stronger than ever!

3 full weeks so far and its really getting to me. more than likey im gona take another 5-6 weeks off...this tendonitis is worse than i thought it would be to get rid of. im hoping i will be 100% in about 2, 4 weeks at most but i will still take the whole 6 weeks off just to make sure.

im gona tell teh whole story w/ my weight now. in november of 2005 i was 296 ... i was eating fine but way too much. i started to eat around 4000 calories per day and slowly went down to 280. then i started cutting and right now I am at 257 so things are really moving now. I've been dieting for 6-8 weeks now (I think) and have lost 23 pounds so far. My long term goal is to hit 215ibs by mid-late May and then I will start to bulk again, but this time I will definately keep my weight under control.

later guys

Wow! you were one big dude! Still are actually. Head up with the tendonitis man. Good for you for taking the extra time off and healing properly! You'll be back at it in no time! Even if it doesn't seem like it now!
