Sick, man. I was thinking about doing a competition in May, actually. If I do it, it'll be a really slow prep (14-16 weeks). I'll definitely be in on your next log, brother.

A lot of people say that whenever they do keto, they tend to build a little bit of muscle while losing fat. So, if I can take it nice and slow, why not? It won't hurt, especially if I can almost grow up until the contest. I guess we'll have to see where my bodyfat is at whenever 16 weeks out comes around. That, and I threw in an extra couple of weeks just because it'll be my first contest. There will be a lot of set backs along the way. If I'm SUPER ready like half way through, then I might bulk for a week or two, just to help my metabolism get even faster.

Haven't trained upper body in 2 weeks. Figured I'd rest a little. Gonna start physical therapy again Monday on the shoulders. Hope it goes well. Still weigh the same so haven't lost any muscle just feel smaller cause of the lack of upper body work.

Nope its more of the rear delt is where my tendonitis is. Yeah I had never gone over 285 for reps on the front squat but a guy I use to work with was at the gym and since I don't have a training partner I had him spot me so the 315 went down! haha

Its easier to lift heavier on squats when there's a "spot" there to help

If you were worried about the holidays messing with your contest prep (Xmas and New Years), then start a week or 2 early. When you asked when I was starting my prep, I said 16 weeks, it's because I have 2 weekend trips planned that I know I won't be able to hold my diet as needed.

Plan ahead and on your comp day you won't be saying "I wish had 2 more weeks."
