So I weighed in at 217 today. Man did it feel good to see that number on the scale. This is the heaviest I've ever been, and it feels even better to know that this is all from staying true to my diet for the past couple of months.

Shaved my arms last night as well, and it feels awfully weird lol. Just gotta get used to the feeling. Not really excited about shaving the legs, seeing as they're kinda like the rainforest cafe lol.

DB rows

Do rack deadlifts work for you? I tried them out for the first time the other day. I had the bar set at my knee for a starting position. I was hitting 495 like I was ronnie.

Damn, Phil. 217? That's brutal as hell.
Oh ya, for the front squats, are you doing them like Ronnie does (resting the weight on your front delts) or almost like the bottom of a push press?

Just restin them on my front delts and crossing my arms just to make sure it doesn't fall down. feels super good.

Looking through the beginning of my log, which was back in may, and I have seriously gained some strength.

On my power days, I was doin military press 150x4. Now I'm reppin 185x8 or 9. With ease. I was also struggling with squats, I was doing 245x5, and now i'm repping 265x8 with ease as well. Definately makes me happy to see how far I've come, especially without being on anything.

Phil, do we have a similar split? I noticed you saying that you have hypertrophy days and power days. I made mine like Layne's, but I didn't do high rep days and low rep days. But is our layout almost the same?
Congrats on the strength gains! That's sick as hell.

You weren't going to start stretching between sets, were you?

No no, just stretching the muscle group after the workout.

I did layne's routine for about 2.5 months. Got good strength gains, but not so much on the mass. Since then I have changed my routine around

Why not just do a full body stretch post workout? That way you get more flexible in general. Zir is a huge advocate of that, so I started doing it. I dig it.

Ah, what does your routine look like now?

I've heard good things about the DC stretches so we'll see how that goes.

Monday - Chest, shoulders, traps, calves
Tuesday - back, biceps, abs
Wednesday - Legs, calves
Thursday - Shoulders, traps, triceps, calves
Friday - Legs, calves (more of a hypertrophy day)

Only one way to find out.

If you don't mind me asking, why do you only work chest and back once a week, but shoulders and traps twice a week?

My shoulders and traps are my weak point. I have a couple pics posted on page 14, and some in my profile as well.

Well, people that are diagnosed with CRS, have a tendency of these kinds of things. They are very common. I will make sure to remind you of my new log. You're the first on my list

That makes sense. I was just thinking of the muscular imbalances that could occur. I am glad that you work your legs twice a week, though. It's rare to see, but necessary, IMO. I'm excited to see you doing contest prep. When is your competition?
