Mike, why are you doing super sets on a cut? It sounds counter productive to me. On a cut, you should just worry about maintaining muscle, and dropping bodyfat. Your recovery won't be as great as it would be on a bulk, so super sets will cause overtraining a lot more easily. Just my thoughts on it. |
ya but my friend, you can gain muscle on a cut, its been proven, just look at dapack`s log, last cut i actually gained a small amount, while cutting is yes for getting rid of bf, its also a good time to super set, see with the supersets, i dont use as heavy weight, and since the reps are in the 8-10 range, i will be maintaining as well as hopefully continuing to grow a bit,
while my main focus is keeping as much muscle as i can, and dropping the bf, i may be able to add a bit as well, i dont plan on going spastic on this cut, going to take it easy each week and drop carbs and increase protein , i`ll post each workout as well,
as far as over training, its really not a issue as long as you get your days off for proper rest and dont do huge amounts of exercises,
if you look back at the start of my thread, this is where i started, and my pic in the avatar was taken this summer, so i actually look better in that pic than i have ever on a cut,
also with over training, i really feel its more of a beginners issue, once your body has been put through the gauntlet, so to speak, it becomes more adapt and recover if programmed out properly,
i see what your saying though, but over training wont be a issue, and super sets like i did at the start of all this, actually worked wonders,, lots of misconceptions on over training, but one thing to keep in mind is when your dropping your calories like in a comp. style cut, which i wont be doing, just a 3 month cut,
