Every time I see what you curl I'm reamazed all over again haha. How does the glyco-maize mix with the Crystal light? I trained drinking glycomaize plain in water and realized quickly that I'd have to mix it with something.

lol,, yea and every time i see what your deadlifting i`m reamazed myself bro..

umm yea as for the glyco-maize its very bland tasting alone, but mixed in water and crystal light its rather tasty, or at least taste>able.. lol,,,,

Finally getting my leg workout in,, damn its been so busy at work, back and forth to mandan on my train every day for the last week and 1/2 , so far i have had lets see, 3 training days in that period, not really productive no is it, well anyway such is life, good news is i ordered some bumbbell handles off of e-bay yesterday that will allow me to make 105-120 pound bells with them and now i know were to buy larger handles for 120+, plus i got them brand new for $22 dollars, now all i need to do is go to the local used fitness equipment store and buy some more 10lb plates to make me some bigger dumbbells,, booo yea!!!
so i have for dumbbells,
10-100 lbs now, and my new addition should be arriving in the next week or so,, oh also i found where i can find stands for a squat bar that dont take up the entire room, just free standing stands, I`m so pumped over that, my home gym is growing like a mofo!!!

ok on to legs, going to be rocking to some Iron Maiden, old school stuff,, you know like 2 min. to midnight and number of the beast !!

Starting out with some front squats using the straight bar, have not done these for awhile so not sure on the weight, might be fairly lame,, since i have been doing dumbbell squats for so long and the straight bar is a new addition to my home gym arsenal, plus i have to load it from the floor and basically do a clean movement to position it on my upper chest,,

BarBell Front Squats
1x85. x 10wrm up
1x105 x 8
1x115 x 8
1x150 x 6
1x150 x 6>> ok so these were good,actually did more weight than i figured i could, probably could add another 20lbs but then my form would suffer, i`ll just keep working on these until i can save the money for the squat stands,,anyway I went down as far as possible, awkward feeling at first with the bar on my upper chest, got some nice bar burns on my front delts now.. lol... missed having those, guess wearing a wife beater shirt is not the smoothest thing when doing front squats, lol...

SLDL with barbell
1x105x8
1x130x8
1x150x8
1x150x8>>> i`m so shakey,, lol.. damn my hammies are just smokin and my quads feel totally pumped,, these felt really good, again had a bit left for strength but starting to feel it in my lower back so i`ll just work on this weight for awhile and move up as things progress,,
leg extensions, doing these fairly light for a nice end exercise
1x70x12
1x90x10
1x90x10
1x90x8... cramping up big time


seated calf raises with dumbbell on each knee, done alternating
1x80x16
1x110x15
1x110x15
1x110x15 calfs are burning,,

standing on leg alternating calf raises using stair step, and bodyweight done to failure, and no rest between sets until all 3 sets are done
3xbodyweight until failure,,,

ok so i`m all shaky, i will be feeling this big time tomorrow, its been probably 2 weeks since i trained legs so things are going to hurt so much tomorrow,, lol... good thing i took the next 2 days off from work,,, damn... tomorrow is shoulders and triceps, odd combo but hey its something new in my routine, working on changing things up again for awhile, no more super sets, working on strength right now,, reps in the 5-8 range, lets see what i can move!

I walk up two stories of stairs everyday, I feel your pain. I bet you had some damn good drive with Iron Maiden in the background though. I skipped leg day today and did shoulders, because I went to hard on them Sunday and they were STILL sore. Tomorrow though, can't wait.

lol,, yea i have a few stairs in my house, like 16 to be exact, each grueling step at a time, hahaaaa, the wife is just lookin at me with this face like,, WTF is wrong with him now,, haaaahaa,, going to kick out shoulders tomorrow, boooooooom chucka lucka BOOOOOM

I got that same response on Monday from my girlfriend! First it was my finger because I bruised it punching a wall a few times (haha don't ask) and every time she would hold my hand I would bitch about how it hurts, and now it's whenever she sets her legs on top of mine while were watching T.V. I'm like screaming cause any touchy touchy of the quads are like bats being swung at my thighs lol.

Thats a good leg workout bro, especially after not doing them for a while. HAHA I knew you were going to say you were hurting. lol I love it!! I have to bend down and squat to clean 60 dog kennels at work every morning so im like the tin man the day after leg day. It feels so good though, doesnt it? like you accomplished exactly what you wanted, to cause yourself pain. lol We are very different than most people. They try to find the easiest, less painful way. Not us though! lol

thanks mike,, yea it went better than i expected and actually the pain was what i love to hate about leg day,, lol
haha,, damn i bet your legs just ache after leg day and then having to squat down all day and clean must be hell on wheels, ouch!!!

yea see thats exactly it, we train and enjoy the pain, makes us feel like we had a killer workout, the average guy or gal that goes into the gym as a beginner either learns to love the pain or says the hell with it and quit`s, its what separates the normal people from US!!!

I`m sitting here at a glorious 6:30 a.m drinking coffee cuz i only slept until 5 this morning, reading some posts and thinking about my shoulder and tricep workout i`m going to do, plus lets see,
shampoo the carpets
clean the bathrooms
mow the lawn,
walk the dogs
maybe i`ll superset the shampoo and bathroom cleaning but i cant really super set the lawn mowing and dog walking, or can I

Today is my day off from work, so i have a butt load of house work to get caught up on after my training session, I must add i am totally jacked right now, coffee and i found a sample packet of NO explode next to all my supplements,, so i took that along with some BCAA`s... holy hell i`m wired for sound,,,,

ok its shoulders today, legs feel real good, a bit sore but not like i figured after last nights workout,,

starting off with

seated DumbBell military presses
1x50`s x 12.. wrm up
1x60`s x 8
1x75`s x 8
1x85`s x 5
1x85`s x 3>>> lol only got 3 this last set but its ok this is PB for me on dumbbells, damn these were soooo heavy <<< this was me.... lol

Dumbbell shrugs
1x85`s x 10>> 85lbs is as high as my dumbbells go, until i get my new handles
1x85`s x 10
1x85`s x 10
1x85`s x 10>> did these with 30 sec. rest between sets

BarBell upright rows>> this is my FAVORITE EXERCISE FOR TRAPS
1x85..x10
1x105 x8
1x125 x8 hmm these went better than i thought they would
1x145 x4 chit... wanted 5 but what the hell, this is a weight that i have not done for about 5 years!! by the way 155 is my max on upright rows using free weights! so i`m so going to hit that by the end of the year!!

DB seated side lateral raises super set with DB seated incline front raises for my finisher exercise!!
1x25x8>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>1x25x8 ... damn these are almost painful
1x25x8>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>1x25x6 rutt roe getting fatigued here,,
1x25x8>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>1x20x10 ok,, i`m so done,,,,

ok so yea, things went really good, new PB and a new upright row, not a PB but very satisfied with 145lbs on free weights , and those 85lb dumbbells on military were insane, would have helped to have a spotter but my dog just looks at me and wags her tail..... stupid dog.. lol....

tomorrow is bis and tris,, going for strength until i get burnt out on this style of training, but super sets were like 3 solid months of that style training, my goals for the end of the year are size and strength baby!!!

thanks to everyone who kept up with me during my low times this summer, i probably would have just said the hell with it many times, but your posts kept me inspired, thanks

Good work mike! I love reading your workouts, they are awesome! I really like doing those upright rows too, they hit the traps so good. Nice weight on them, thats pretty heavy bro, you are kicking arse!
You have to keep going mike, we are doing this together bro! Right? I know it gets tough sometimes but this is like therapy for us. lol I need my therapy!!! Time for back for me. I had a day off yesterday and im ready to go tear it up!!

Those 85s are ridiculous dude damn. Believe it or not, I know a 17 y/o kid who does 100s on db presses. That's who I compete with haha. Why do you separate the laterals from the presses, personally I like to keep the exercises for each bodypart be in a row. Idk if that made sense I mean have like
presses
laterals
upright rows
shrugs

So it's shoulders, shoulders, shoulder/traps, traps. But that's just me though , thanks for the reps too big Mike, that's some motivation for my squats haha.

weights are going up and i`m happy about that, was looking for more weights for my home gym for so long, and when this new stuff came about i was like, oh hell yea i`ll buy that, used or not, weights is weights , right? hell yea,, lol

ok, thanks mike, and your welcome for the reps bro,,
reason i tailor my work out is so i can hit the basic movements as heavy as possible, see if i throw in the laterals in between the other exercises it fatigues the shoulders to the point that i can not go as heavy on the next,
also the side and front laterals are not really for growth, and press`s, shrugs and traps have always worked for me,
so basically i keep the lower weight movements for the end for a finish exercise, does that make sense? what makes sense to me may not for anyone else, but over the years this is how i have learned to train my body, sorry for the ramble here, simple question turned into a long winded post. lol

Nah, I see what your saying, I didn't mean what you do is work, I just mean it's different from what I do. But that's a smart thing, the heavier the weight the more overall tax it is on the body. That's why I ALWAYS deadlift first.

sweet news, new dumbbell handles should arrive around the 10th of this month, hell yea can make me some 105-125 dumbbells now,, just got home from work and its late, so no workout today,, was sore as hell yesterday , my back and legs finally kicked in with the soreness i was expecting,,

wazz sup bro`s... so today is bis and tris, going to see if can go past 135 on bar curls today,, the wife made home made lasagna for supper, my early b-day present,, going to be at work around midnight tonight and tomorrow is the big 42!!

Dumbbell spider curls super set with incline dumbbell curls

1x125lb x7>> these are killing my wrists, maybe a ez curl bar would be better, i usually do these on my machine with the ez curl bar, but the bar only works with the machine ,, guess its time to buy a ez curl bar for free weights,,

1x200lbs x 5>>> this is the entire stack on my machine...
1x200lbs x 5..heavy is all i can say about these!!

ok so overall great workout, got 2 PB`s that are great to see, now I have new goals and can push the bar to a bigger weight by years end,,,, later broskie`s..... I am BEAT!!
