YEEEEAH PRETTY IN PINK BABY! lol! I've got a lot of catching up to do if i'm to keep up with the other vip's. Unfortunately... nutritionally speaking, today was a spectacular failure!

This is a day that needs a blow-by-blow account, because i'm still scratching my head at the numbers.

Meal 1: half a wrap (lamb with cabbage wrapped in naan bread; i classified it as a burrito) with a cup of spinach
Meal 2: a small (3 oz. beef) homemade cheeseburger
*workout*
Meal 3: post-workout protein shake
Meal 4: 6 oz. chicken with curry sauce
Meal 5: 6 oz. more chicken with curry sauce
Meal 6: before-bed protein shake

It didn't look much different from a normal day, but somehow this came to 1845 calories and 198g of protein! I can't believe it, but according to fitday, the chicken alone was 103g of protein. Guess i got a little carried away. But my husband made that curry with heavy cream! I couldn't resist, even if it added another 300 calories! Gaah, gotta do better tomorrow.

Uhhh... i ate 'em? lol

Let's see... the naan had like 25 carbs... the bun on the cheeseburger had 29... i know, this is like crap food, lol. The rest were distributed throughout the rest of the day, like the curry was made with crushed tomatoes, there were carbs in my protein shakes... comes out to 76g carbs total. I guess i should've evened out the proportions. Like i said, yesterday was an epic fail. I'll try and get some more oatmeal and stuff in today.

lol, i thought you would. I got more carbs in today, too!

Today was a leg day:

deadlifts:
5x8 @ 100

squats:
3x8 @ 100
1x6 @ 100 (ow!)
1x10 @ 100

hamstring curls:
5x10 @ 30

I fell forward in my fourth set of squats. I guess my mind was elsewhere and i lost my balance. I fell on my knees, but thankfully they're not hurt. My husband was there to take the weight off my shoulders (aww how romantic!) and it was more embarrassing than anything else. I made up the lost reps on the next set! Nothing to do but keep going, i guess.

The top of my quads has been sore the last couple of leg sessions. It's sorta the part in the front of my legs where they connect to my hips. My last few workouts have left me sore for quite a while, to the point that when it's time to do my workout, that part of my quads is still sore. So maybe i need to step up my post-workout nutrition? I have spare calories left today, so maybe i'll eat some extra sugary stuff and do some more stretching tomorrow while i rest.

Nutrition's looking good today. 1537 calories and 168g protein, with 119g carbs and 42g fat for the hell of it!

try stretching pre and post wo and lol yeah eating, LOL i dont think it could have been too embarrasing, lucky you werent in a commercial gym! props to your husband for saving you lol

Arm day today!

military press:
5x10 @ 50

bench press:
5x8 @ 70

reverse curls:
1x8 @ 25
4x10 @ 25

Oh man. It was a mediocre workout until i started the bench presses. Then my dearest husband put the soundtrack to megaman x4 on the playlist and i just attacked those weights! It's amazing what the right dose of nostalgic techno metal will do. I almost didn't make it through the curls, but upping the reps to 10 was a step in the right direction. My biceps feel like they're gonna bust through my skin, lol.

My knees are feeling leaner. I know that's a weird body part to notice, lol, but i think the muscle there is becoming more visible. Only a progress pic will show for sure, but i'll wait till the 27th or so to take those.

I forgot to put in yesterday's nutrition; it was another epic failure at 1713 calories and 150g protein. And that was a rest day! At least today's is looking better at 1537 calories and 168g protein.

ouch just read that^^^^ glad your ok. focusing is so important actully its funny cuase im just reading a book on focing and training! hmm today was my 'super concentration' day your doing 5 set of squats mabey take it down a notch and/or try a pyramid style 40 is alot of reps for squats (i think lol) mabey do 10 at 60 warm ya up a bit 8 at 80 6 at 100 mabey push out 4 at 110? you might might to check the thread i made about breaking the platue somewhere cause i think i have been doing pyrimid wrong this whole time but thats what i did and i found it worked great lol. oh i think your supposed to go back and do 12 light ones...something like that. sorry i might not be making any scene i just got home from the gym and am all adrenalined up lol falling sounded terrible and we dont want you doing that!
