Arm day today!

bench press:
5x8 @ 70

military press:
5x8 @ 50

reverse curls:
2x8 @ 20
3x8 @ 25

Decent workout, i guess. I got a little distracted during the curls because one of my rats may be dying. :( I hope that isn't the case. I hope this is an elaborate april fool's joke that she's playing on me, but as we all know, rats can't count. Actually, that's not quite true, rats are quite intelligent and can learn to count. But it's still quite impossible because girls can't do math. OOOOOH, i totally went there! Anyway, on a more serious note, i gave her some echinacea tea and cut up some scrap fabric so she'll have something softer to sleep on. I hope she feels better, cause that's all we can afford to do for her for now.

My elbow was complaining all day. :/ I've got some ice on it now that my workout's over. 1455 calories and 122g of protein. Unusually low protein, knowing me, but it's still just about the minimum so i guess i'll leave it at that.

Leg day yesterday:

squats:
5x8 @ 100

deadlifts:
5x8 @ 100

Ugh... low energy day. My adductors were still sore from the previous leg workout, so i used a closer stance instead of my usual wide stance. Maybe that'll give my abductors some balance. After the deads, i was completely spent. I fell asleep right after my workout.

Nutrition was wimpy but practical: 1182 calories and 116g protein.

"A nice sweep!" Wow, i didn't expect legs to be an aesthetic strong point in my life! lol, looks like i'll have a strength to build on once i'm done carving them out. Maybe i'll have a chance at being the next chun li after all.

Today was a rest day, and a damn fine one at that! We finally got that whey protein we'd been waiting for, and the nutrition really shows it in the way it's balancing out again. No more all-day feasts on fatty meats, though they will be sorely missed! 1012 calories and 124g of protein! Yatta!

Arm day!

bench press:
5x8 @ 70

military press:
5x8 @ 50

reverse curls:
5x8 @ 25

It hurts and burns!! Elbow's been bitching at me like all week. I've also been feeling kinda lightheaded... i hope it's nothing.

Decent workout... kinda slow, with long breaks, but i feel like i'm making progress. I haven't increased the weights in forever, but i don't care. This shit's hard!! If i'm feeling ambitious, i might increase the military press next time, but the bench press still weighs heavily on my chest. I guess i'm still adjusting to the higher reps.

All in all, not a bad day. Finishing up at 1508 calories and 176g protein. Even got to fit in a piece of chocolate after my workout. :9

Aaaaaand a leg day!

squats:
5x8 @ 100

deadlifts:
5x8 @ 100

hamstring curls:
5x8 @ 30

Same old, same old. It looks like so much less work when it's typed out like this! Ah well. Running low on naproxen sodium, hope i can find some on sale or something. The knee was especially crunchy this workout. It just wouldn't shut up! The hamstring curls put it in order, though. I've got an ice pack wrapped around it like a gag. Freakin' knee.

Nutrition's looking okay today, but i've still got one meal or so left, so i'll post it when it's all finished.

EDIT: 1401 calories and 175g protein!

Yesterday was a rest day... 1285 calories and 131g protein.

I'm really bummed out about my pet rat. :( It turned out she had a stroke and couldn't move one side of her body very well. We read up on it and found that rats have a good chance of recovering from strokes, so we figured we'd try to help her. She couldn't feed herself, so we fed her juice and cream with an eyedropper. She looked like she was improving a bit. But after a certain point, she just couldn't--or wouldn't--eat, even with the dropper. After a long struggle to keep her fed and nourished, she died this morning while we slept.

Rats are really smart creatures. They're like a cat and a dog in one. We knew what we were getting into when we got these rats (they usually only live about 3 years), but i still hate to see an intelligent creature die.

It's killed my apetite for now, which is probably a good thing for my cut. But we bought a carton of heavy cream to feed her, and now i don't know what to do with it. Feed it to the remaining rat? Use it to make a cheat meal? It would be such a waste to throw it away. I dunno.
