Good job keeping you nutrition in check, Kirk. That's really hard to do when you're sick but very important. Seems like if you have a clean diet while you're sick you can preserve your muscle mass while dropping some BF or at least not increasing it. Definately take your time getting back to the gym - that spleen thing is scary. Also one positive thing to think about is that i read an artical a while back about "muscle memory" cause some guy took 6 mos off from an injury and apparently his gains after he started back were accelerated. Still it's hard to be barred from working out when you enjoy it - so don't get too bummed that you're on your bed 15-16 hrs aday.... You can catch up[ on Oprah between espisodes of Nip Tuck! LOL

BTW the pics look good for cold and no workout. Take care buddy!

Hey kirk;

How's your energy doing? R u on the road to recovery? Hope so - look at it this way - at least you didn't get it at the beginning of summer! Eat lots of chicken soup[ (BTW - try a tablespoon of pesto in it - makes it taste great & it's got garlic - the miracle cure in it!)

Good luck bud!

i do have alot more energy than before. still feel weak but my im not as exhausted. the food intake is definitely helping alot giving me that edge to go about my day. im doing alot of school work here at my apartment and since its been warm ive been going on a few trips here and there around the city, felt great a few days ago so i had the girlfriend drive me home to severna park to get my bike, and drove it back up i95 to the apartment so i have it. i have a doctors appointment tomorrow so hopefully they give me the green light on lifting and such again. been over a month now so im hoping all this rest and nutrients ive been consuming have been paying off. im now down at the low 170's in weight now, but im pretty cut so it was a pretty clean loss, no worries. thanks for asking though bud, it really does mean alot. ill let everyone know how it goes tomorrow. thanks for the pesto suggestion, i will definitely give that a go in a few minutes.

Whaa Hoo! - Congrats on the green light! Must feel great to be back - but remember you've got to baby yourself - get that girlfriend to give you a few nice massages for those sore muscles... (make sure you buy her something too before you give her the almond oil - Hahahahaha)

Get some good stretching in too so you don't hurt yourself getting back into it. And starting w/ 8% BF! - you're set man to be the most brolic by summer!

Later Bro

yea its crazy, workout went real well today so for the rest of the day all ill do is eat and study. my finals are to be in my professors hands by thursday as well as tons of homework that needs to be done. oh well, i needed a cut anyway before summer so im taking this as it. ill probably just stay this lean all summer, try and maintain the 8% and just get a little more defined and bigger... thanks again for the kind words!
