Well it's time for me to start thinking about getting into shape for 2007.

Basically I just want to look decent with my t-shirt off in the summer.

ie:
some abs showing
some shoulders and upper back to give a V taper
and some decent tri's.
and some upper chest.

I've got limited time and even less motivations at the moment so I've paired up the following exercises that I can do with my equipment.

Deadlifts and curls

Sh Press and Rows

Dips and Chins.

My first session went like this.

Wed 4th April

DB SH Press 8*10kg, 8*11kg, 8*11.5kg
Deads 8*50kg, 8*52.5kg, 8*55kg, 8*57.5kg

3rd session in (sat 8th April 07)

My webbing arrived to make some dipping handles so i thought i'd try them out.

It's much harderd dipping on floating handles but after a practice set of 3 i went back ot them managed 6 full dips.

So the session looked liked this

dips (floating handles) 3*bw, 6*bw, 5*bw
chins (floating handles) 5*bw, 3*bw

Soon be in the 10 reps in a couple of weeks.

Here's the set up I'm using for dips and chins at home.

There's two sets of handles, short for chins (shown) and longer for dips.

I've drilled some heavy duty rawl bolts in the wall above the doorway and used some webbing and handles made from PVC pipe to make some handles.

oops can't show you the chin/dip set up 'cos i need 15 posts before I can show a link.

You'll have to use your imagination

DB SH Press 8*10kg, 8*11kg, 8*11.5kg, 6*11.5kg
Deadlifts 8*50kg, 8*55kg

I cut the deads short because my lower back didn't feel up to it.

Bit dissappointed but nevermind.

DB SH Press
15*10kg, 12*10kg, 7*10kg

Suspended dips
6xbw

I went for a 7 rep pull felt a sharp twinge go up the left hand side of the back of my shoulder and neck

Ouch I've definately pulled something, I can feel a pulling on my left collar bone too.

I'll leave the rest of the workout for another day.

Dissappointed

Phil
