Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience:

On the last (4th) set on the decline leg press machine I felt something shift around my lower right ribcage. It happened right as I began to press into the extension phase after bringing the weight down (knees close to chest).

Felt it right away and a day later I have sore ribs on the right side but just at the very bottom.

Any chance I could have separated or cracked a rib?

And the weight was about 360 which was heavy for me but manageable until the 8th rep when it happened.

Thanks -

Ky

After talking to a few people including my chiro, concensus is a strained intercostal. Nothing too bad but serious enough that I am taking a week off of lifiting - only riding the bike.

As advised by people here with more experience than I, better to take a couople of weeks now than months later on.
