Usually it's not the actual muscle that is inflammed but the tendon or ligaments that get inflammed. This happens from improper form or repititous over use. An example- swimmers can get inflammation in shoulders because of the repeated movement. I wouldnt suggest doing it for longer than a week to two weeks but would take 600 mgs twice a day and
ice it RELIGIOUSLY. I have the same problem. I have inflammation in my left pec tendon. Another good thing to do is while you are in the shower, lather up your chest and try to massage the muscle where it ties into your shoulder. This will bring blood flow that will help try to repair any damage done to the joint. GOOD LUCK
