today I went to the pool with a group of kids ( I work part time in child care )
I was in the pool mucking around in shallow water and stood up straight, lifting a large weight above the water... Now, about 5 hours later my lower back muscles are killing me. what should I do?

Give it a rest for a lil while. Its likely youve pulled a muscle. Did you have a kid on your shoulders or something?

def right, and remember never stretch a cold muscle so if you are going to ice it down to try and keep down swelling. Please make sure you let it warm up first before stretching the muscle you might cause it to get worse.

thanks for the advice.
Yeah, I had a few little ones hanging off me. If the water wasn't so shallow it would have been fine, but all of a sudden I could feel myself supporting their weight above the water.
