Hi guys. I have been a fan of this site since very long. This site gives me my inspiration for body building. Six weeks ago i was doing lunges with ninety pound wts on each side of the barbell and in the middle of the set lost my balance just a little, thankfully i did not fall and regained my posture. But i had an acute pain in my left groin and left adductor region. I checked myself if i could see some swelling or hernia but didnt find any so took some painkiller and rested for a week. The pain subsided but again resurfaced when i started working out. The pain now is dull and continuous, originating in my left groin especially the inguinal region and lower abdomen and radiating to my left adductor region. It increases when i squeeze my thighs together.
I consulted the surgeon, who took xrays and also an mri with inconclusive reports and finally diagnosed me as a case of sportmans hernia syndrome and referred of to a sports med guy. He suggested a lap surgery as the pain can be due to many reasons like ligament, muscle, or fascia tear or mostly due to wide inguinal canal..
I am worried guys and i guess a little sacred too. Please let of know he any one knows someone who was diagnosed with same syn and what did he do.. Or any info on the same. Please help. The net has very limited info on the same.. Please help. |
