Hello everyone, it's been a while since i have been on the forum, been busy with my family and great news we are expecting another. This last saturday at the gym i hit my routine pretty hard. I developed a pain on the inside of my elbow or on top if i were holding my hand out palm up. The pain is below my bicep. My training partner says that it is Tendonitis of the elbow, but had no advice or knowledge on it. I've searched the forum and i didn't come across any thread about the type of pain i'm having. Has anyone gone throught this before? any advice?

go see a physio or musculoskeletal specialist now. bad elbows ruin ur entire upper body workouts. get on top of that. i had a similar thing but on the other side of my elbow. try to find the movements that aggrevate it and avoid them or at least do them light. plus rushing into a heavy routine after a break is always bad (if thats what u did, sounds like it with u saying uve been busy as hell).

good luck bro

I had this and my physical therapist..happens to be my wife..

She recommended this and it cured me.

1. Get a styrofoam cup and fill it with water and freeze it.

2. Once Frozen, cut 3/4 of an inch from the bottom of the frozen cup, exposing the ice at the bottom.

3. Place elbow over sink at at 90% angle and ice massage your elbow for 10 minutes. Make small circles over the affected area.

4. Do this several times a day. You may take ibuprofren also to reduce the swelling.

5. You may not lift or train while healing. nope nope nope..... And once more you cannot train for 7 to 10 days there after. Your body needs to heal. If you come back to soon your inflamation will come back.. You have to be pain free for up to 14 days. Does not matter how long you have had it. Swelling is swelling.
