hey sry to hear about the shoulder... if you could give a more specific area of pain that could help out.. front of shoulder? kinda where it looks like ur pec top of ur bicep connect and the front of ur deltoid lays on top. that area? Is it the back of your shoulder? is it a deep pain? a more broad idea of where it hurts can help.....

If the front of your shoulder hurts it is probably early stage of tendonitis.(aka inflammation of the tendon) probably your pectoral tendon because of benchpressing and this happens a lot to people who love to bench.. should also hurt a good deal while doing incline benchpress?(correct me if im wrong) makes your shoulder feel week...

My recommendations on this would be to ice where it hurts. (20 min on 40 off) DO NOT APPLY HEAT. also stretching you need to get a lot of blood flowing to the tendon before you start doing strenuous activites to it.. do you stretch a lot? Dont go crazy with your weight for about a month.. just stay simple its gunna be boring probably but dont kill yourself.. Ice and stretch everyday it will help..

Hope this helps.. ill try to look back at this thread or you can pm me and i could send you some stretches and tips to help ya out.. Good luck

You might want to check out if you have bursitis.

Everything you described sounds like what I faced. There exists a bursae between the flat bone of your shoulder and the ball and socket joint of your shoulder.

The bursae acts as something to prevent friction. When an inflamattion acts through it will get inflamed and a dull pain will arise in some positions.

Only way out is pain killer balms (with or without NSAIDs) and strengthen supporting tendons with months of light weights. This is through personal experience.

Consult your GP and get an MRI to confirm next time you see a flare up.

rotator cuff is also a common culprit. I tuck my elbows in to 45 degrees or so and it helps...

oh, and reps for using the word 'whilst' on a bbing site...

Yep, I recently started doing this during incline db presses.
Lol at the reason for reps.
