hello everyone..
i have faced a weird problem in the past couple of weeks. first of all, i shd tell u tht i am 6'2 at 125 kg. i have a good physique and yes...i juice.
ive never had big quads.the outer sweep of the quad is prbly the only lagging bodypart i have.
last month i strded a cycle of eq+sust+drol.sice i wanted to focus on the outer quad so i incorporated close squats and close stance hack squats in my routine.this seemed to wrk well for the 1st 2 weeks then i began to feel a sharp pain(not muscular, close to the bone) just as i finished my rep in the squat. the pain hits just as im abt to lock my knees on the way up.it hits me just underneath the muscle a few inches above the knee in the outer quad.
this has nt aloowed me to train hard since 2 weeks.
this cd have been becuase of overtraining.

any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated..thnks

training legs twice a week is fine bro. if you train them on a 4-5 day split, you should be fine
wear wraps around your knees too, it helps...

I'm trying to picture where the pain is exactly. Was that a previous injection site?

Also, how long is the cycle ur on, how much have you gained & over what period of time?

It sounds to me, like this may be due to the muscles being strong enough to increase to your current lifting weight, but their support structures not being ready yet. If you've rapidly increased muscle size, and increased your lifting weight - this may be your body telling you to ease off.

Also - it couldn't just be a matter of not stretching, could it?

i don't think it had anything to do with streching as it wern't a muscle pain...i don't think his body is use to being under that sort of stress, YET, as he's never trained like this before.

could be?

i say wrap them up & give them a longer split before training them again

I feel the need to get some valuable information to everyone reading this,, first off most everyone knows my wife is a PT( Physical Therapist).. She noticed one day I was squatting and ( at the time) was only 225.. I had knee wraps on..

She got out one of her Therapy books and showed me a picture of the tendons surrounding the knee..

She explained that if you get used to using wraps while squatting, the wraps impair the tendon from strenthening. If you squat lower weight and let the knee and surrounding tendons build and absorbe the weigth and strenthen the entire time..

Down the road of life your knees will be more better than you can imagine.

This is only my opinon.. take it for what it's worth.. Do what you feel you need to do to get bigger.. I just want everyone to know what I know now.

Chris

I have stopped using wraps and can do my personal max squat is 315 for 3 reps,,, granted I'm building.

BUT I'm wrap free..
