the AC joint is sprained its the joint that connects the arm to the shoulder. can you rotate your arm? bring it out in front of you and raise it. take an aspirin and put heat on it take glucosimine also dont use it until its healed

I cant remember who makes it but you can get Glucosamine with Devils Claw which is an anti-inflamatory and I found that it really helps with sore joints.

Just a thought but it could also be a slight seperation of the shoulder, where the collar bone attaches to the shoulder. I've got a 3rd degree seperation there and it hurt like a mother ****er for about 6-7 months.

sounds like the AC to me though, it's very common, its at the end of your collar bone. its where your arm joins your shoulder and all of the rotator cuff muscles come in at the AC joint

I have all the pains you guys have been desrcibing in this thread and been looking for an answer. This helps alot and EASTCOAST HIGHLANDER i was looking at those pictures and my shoulder does not look like those but almost in a slight way i can feel the bump. But i am not sure if this has been from doing the butterfly exercise if you know what that is lol i call it that. But after i do them it usually hurts and i read if you go straight up and down that is blad for your shoulder but thats what i have been doing for a while so i tryed going at a little more of an angle and it still hurts should i take a week off for recovery?

I get the same pain in my right shoulder also but i hurt it about 2-3 weeks ago doing bench, only time the pain comes back is when i try to do chest so iv been forced to take it easy for a bit which sucks. Maybe ill pick up some glucosimine tomorrow and see if it helps.

is the bump you decribe on top of the shoulder and feel larger and swollen compaired to the one on your left shoulder ? if so its most likely Burstitus there is a fluid sac in the joint that acts like a shock absorber and it can get pinched in the joint and not being an elastic material it just forms the shape of the pinch and stays stuck in the joint , this will feel like a sharp pain somewhere when you rotate the arm its worse because its also swollen and inflamed so harder to get out look up Codmans exercise that normaly works but you never quite know when you just have to keep doing it till the sharp pain goes.
