Last month i checked myself into the hospital when I had massive chest pains after doing shrugs.
Had x-rays done, nothing broken, had my heart checked, everything was ok. It turned out that i had hurt my diaphragm right in the middle of my chest.
So anyways, i took about 2 weeks off after that and continued on with my workout without any problems because the doctor said I should judge if i'm ready by just the feeling. Lately I can still feel discomfort in that area of my chest, its still uncomfortable when i stretch it and when i do dips. I can do all out workouts and everything without any problems, but I make sure not to overextend my reps so that i dont cause any further damage.
With that said I'm wondering if i should get myself checked out again with another kind of doctor or something.
Has anyone else exprienced somethin that sounds similar to this?
let me know

well i have had this happen to me, i was working out my chest, i was doing bench press to be more precise, and i felt a sharp pain, i continued with my workout, but i felt the spasm, i have only expirienced that about twice, and the first one was pretty painful, it has been about 4 weeks since that happen and i haven't felt it anymore, but i never went to see a doctor!
Chest pains? If it is diaphram and intercostals causing problems then that is a whole different issue to chest pains. You should be able to tell the difference between them by when and how they hurt.
I agree that you should see someone else. I've had friends struck down in their 20's with heart problems, its not something you can ignore.
