Last month i checked myself into the hospital when I had massive chest pains after doing shrugs.

Had x-rays done, nothing broken, had my heart checked, everything was ok. It turned out that i had hurt my diaphragm right in the middle of my chest.

So anyways, i took about 2 weeks off after that and continued on with my workout without any problems because the doctor said I should judge if i'm ready by just the feeling. Lately I can still feel discomfort in that area of my chest, its still uncomfortable when i stretch it and when i do dips. I can do all out workouts and everything without any problems, but I make sure not to overextend my reps so that i dont cause any further damage.

With that said I'm wondering if i should get myself checked out again with another kind of doctor or something.

Has anyone else exprienced somethin that sounds similar to this?

let me know

Chest pains? If it is diaphram and intercostals causing problems then that is a whole different issue to chest pains. You should be able to tell the difference between them by when and how they hurt.

I agree that you should see someone else. I've had friends struck down in their 20's with heart problems, its not something you can ignore.
