I've a regular workout last evening from PM 6:00 to 8:00). My workout are included: Thighs, triceps, forearm and abnormal. My thigh workout is not real hardcore, I would say just medium intense. What I've done on my thighs are:

Leg extensions : 4 sets x 8 ~ 18 reps
Squat: 5 sets x 8 ~ 15 reps
Machine leg press (Horizontal): 3 sets x 8 ~ 12 reps
Seat leg curl : 4 sets x 8 ~ 15 reps
Shifted dead-lift: 2 sets x 10 ~ 12 reps

I went to my bed at PM 11:50, within 10 minutes, my left quadriceps has a real serious cramp. The pain is on my Vastus Medialis. This cramp is continue for more than 1 minute. 10 minutes later after I feel better, my right quadriceps has another cramp, this time I feel much painful. Such pain is still with me now.

I've been training for 20 years, this is the first time I have cramp on my thigh. Before, it only happen on my Gastrocnemius but very seldom (inner calf). My questions are:

1. How to cause this cramp on my quadriceps?
2. How to avoid it?
3. What will you do immediately if you have a serious cramp on your quadriceps?

If you train for 2 hours then you are likely to not have enough fluids and salts in your system. Either cut down your workout to one hour, and/or drink more water.
