I know I posted something about this a month ago but I need some more info. After I do bench I get a funny ache almost in my armpit, if I lift my arm and feel where the ache is it is directly below where my pec about 3 inches where my pec meets my shoulder/bicep and when I push on it, it is right on my ribs. It doesnt feel like it is my pec its self but just to the side of it. Also it doesnt hurt or pull or anything when I am benching or doing pushups. Does anyone know what the hell is going on, I took 3 weeks off before. Worked out a couple of times and just tonight I started feeling this again.

Is there a slight sweling there at all when you touch it? and are you sick at all, like cold or fever? because there is a decent concentration of lymphnodes in the arm pit area. It might be a slight inflammation from something bothering your immune system. In that case it's not unusual. Behind the ears, in the armpit and along the neck alot of times people notice swelling when they get a little sick. If you've had it for really long or if it feels like its getting larger have it checked out. It can't hurt to get an opinion from a doctor.

As far as range of motion and those other questions you asked I would answer them the same way, slow, controled, chest, I put my pinkies on the outside part of the bar that is not checkered so my arms are at a 90 about 3/4 the way down. By looking in the mirror there is no swelling but to the touch it feels like a smashed marble on top of my ribs, it could just be a muscle strand though. So what do you think this could be, should I keep working out since there is no pain during my lifts.

If there is no pain during or directly after lifting then lifting should be ok. As long as the pain is not ossciated with lifting or its after affects then the two are not likely to be linked.

Either way see a doc.

from your description i think you just have porbv with your ribs maybe
get your finger into the gap of your ribs where it hurts and move it up towards the sternum and from there where the rib meets the sternum start rubbing in it hard to try and release and relax it
its similar to me i have a chest problem but its not pec - i have problems with my rib cartilage only aggraviating it with dips so have a go man i hope this helps u a little maybe
