I need your guys help with this. My neighbor told me that when your sick that its not good to work out (she was a nurse). I usually do still train while im sick. But right now im feeling pretty shitty, i have a throat infection(one of my glands is so swollen), my nose wont stop running. But hell i would still go to the gym. Im on some anitbiotics for my throat. Do you think i should wait until its over to head back to the gym?

I'm both for and against it.

When real ill, it's better to rest, but when it's just a runny nose for example, I feel it's good to do a short workout and 30-45 min of cardio. Usually helps.

I agree w/ PI except for the throat thing. With the heavy breathing and grunting that would only aggrivate it so in your case take the time off.

I agree with PI.

Its sometimes good to get the body going, and it helps with appetite to keep your body fighting. Other times you just need a bit of rest. The worse the illness the more likely you need rest, though keeping active (walking around, etc) is great for keeping the body fighting.
