Hey guys...
Just a simple question from a rookie,

I've been working out for 10 months now and i've hit 130 pounds in barbel curls, no cheating like bending your back or anything, ....I dont' want to be huge or anything, so I take nothing, but protein 3 times a day...

my question is that, since i've been curling 130 for the past 2 weeks, i've been getting crazy wrist pain after every set....I did a little bit of research and only thing I can come up with is to work out my forearms more, and wear wrist straps..

any suggestions???

Thank you,

Mach

working out ur foreamrs more ISNT going to sotp pain.
obviouly you are doing them some way in an improper fashion
when i started doing cleans id get a sharp pain in my wrist after descent of every rep
i spaced my hands a little wider - and never had a problem since
try different exercises and go back to them and see how it goes then
if you dont want to be huge then why are you working out and moreover why are you able to get up to the 130's??
at least the majority of ppl here ARE trying to get huge its not a fast road so even if you were trying its not gonna happen overnight. i say - get further past what u want- then u can backdown to exact where u want
try something else with exercises or spaving of hands
no matter how strong ur foreamrs are they arent going to stop pain - pain means there's something wrong - and its not telling u u have wewak foreams

I dont' get it? you said why am I working out? because it's a great why to become fit and the reason why I'm at 130 pounds in such a short period of time is because I guess I have some pretty good genes because 130 is really not that heavy and I didn't know that curling 130 is ment only to become huge..

another thing...I was curling 110 and 120 the same way i'm curling 130, so I don't see what i'm doing wrong?

sorry if i'm sounding like an ass.

thank you for your comment

How often are you curling? Sounds to me like you may be doing it a few times a week. Limit your arm workout to once a week and try different exercises for you arm workouts; not the same routine every time.

I go with Animal and suggest trying an EZ bar along with alternative hand spacings.

sorry, I think I didn't make it that clear about what I wanted to say....
of course I would like to get big and gain a lot of muscle that's what i'm going for, but I think you guys misunderstood me when I said I'm not looking to get HUGE, getting pretty big would be nice, but not crazy big and do roids and stuff...

and yes, I am using an E-Z bar, but i'm going to try using wrist straps and see what happens..

thank you once again guys
