i recently bought leather lifting wraps, and used the a couple times in deadlifting.

the leather is very hard, i.e. its not like normal lifting wraps made out of cloth.

Any advice on what i can do to make the leather wraps more flexible and not so stiff?

yea dont use em lol... i say **** straps unless ur doin like heavy dead or shrugs for reps to the point where u couldnt hold on to the weight for the entire set... if u have to use straps to lift the weight then ur grip strength is not where it should be... for deads use the alternating grip, u can hang on to much more weight then... but **** the straps bro

I remember when I was in school and playing baseball we used to soak out mits in shaving cream, the foam kind. It helped to soften them up some. It made it easier to form the way we wanted. I guess give it a try and see. Maybe rinse it off with hot water.

IMO straps are a crutch. I dont use them unless absolutely need to. If you dont use them you force your grip strenght to get better along with forearm devolopment.

you could go and pick up a leather conditioner to apply other wise there are a bunch of remedies like gringo had mentioned, if it worked for his baseball gloves it will work for your leather straps, usually if you just soak leather in water it will become stiff when it dries, i used mink oil on my work boots but that also is a repellent and i dont think you want that on your wrists especially when you start sweating
