that is called over training. traps once a week and heavy will do the work. at most maybe twice a week. plus is your friend a bodybuilder that has been training long enough and has a good physique? or is he just some1 who started last week and dont know anything about training right? i really like to know that

If the rest of you muscles will burn out training them evey day why would the traps be any different?

Yeah training traps [i]everyday[i] probably isn't a good idea. Also it would probably overlap on the shoulders some and result in them being overtrained. A couple times a week would be the most I would think they should be worked

Thanks for the fast replies! The guy is no newbie and has a real physique! tough he does some things that are careless to him! he actually repeats excercises in other machines he often do more than three excercises of the same muscle, but don't know his body takes it but he does.

my question is why? focusing on traps is a waste of time. they will come with back and shoulder exercises.

Your trapezius, as most bodybuilder seem to focus on the upper trap, runs through along your whole spinae. Shrugging movements not only work the upper but the middle and lower traps as well.

So, like any muscle, more than once/twice a week- you will overtrain the muscle. It's a larger muscle than you think.

It only runs down your cervical and thoracic vertebrae and from the Occipital bone in the skull and inserts on the Acromion Process, Spine of Scapula, and Medial Border of scapula.

It elevates, depresses, and pulls the scapula toward the midline.

Train it a couple times a week at most.

^...In all honesty bro, for everyone's good even mine, explain the anatomic details you're giving instead of just throwing out parts of the human structure. Just saying, it would be more helpful. Not just to me, but to everyone..
