OK i was going to the bathroom and when i looked in the toilet there was blood. anybody know of anything like that from lifting or otherwise?

Is this from feces or urine. First see a healthcare provider but here are somethings it could be.

Urine:

Bright red: Bleeding from bladder or urethra
Dark red: Bleeding from the kidneys or ureters

Feces: could be too much iron or numerous other problems.

Both need to be checked by a professional.

Im not contradicting what you are saying at all but generally too much Iron in the diet will only change the colour of feces to a dark brown / black colour !

Yeh without a medical examination m8 it could be numurous things ! So get it checked by a Health Care professional

Could be what you have eaten in the past 8 to 12 hours that is passing through your system..

Is it consistant, do you experience this at every bowel movement

Correct but it can cause gi problems which might be part of the underlying reason he is experiencing this.

How is your vit. C intake. Too much and you will get bad diarrhea which will be irritating. Is it a lot of blood? Still get it checked out. Will be interesting to see what it is.

This is often sign of a hemroid, but go see a doc if the bleeding is not gone soon.. might be from something else.
