I used to be bigger than you bud and I went on a HIT workout program to build muscle and lose excess fat and it worked damn good. I went from 296lbs down to 225lbs in 3 months, although I was training 6 days a week for 45min to 60min per session with 10min cardio.

Not nesecarrily, HIT training isn't for everybody. Your body will respond differently to training than everybody elses, just because HIT worked for me or others doesn't mean that it will give you the results you're looking for. Your best bet is to give it a shot for a couple months and see how you progress, if you're not satisfied with the results then try something else.

of course, some people do not know how to properly apply HIT principles to thier workouts, so thats prolly why it dont work for some.. thats why i said in the other thread you need to read mike mentzers books on HIT

yo should try it out if you dont find its good for you just stick to regular cardio.. and try to do 10-50 yard sprints it helps speed up your metabolism you dont have to do it every day only around 3 times a week. and also you work on your hamstrings will you at it

The HIT training by Ell Darden (Of coarse just a, sort of, revised version originating from Arthur Jones) is what I'm about to start trying next week. I'll probably be posting up my results after I get into it for a while.

Everyone reacts differently, if you want give it a try for a while but make sure you are following the rules/guidelines of the work out correctly.

My best suggestion would be eating healthy and cardio with weight training added in.

As far as supplements go, basic protien and a multivitamin at max. I wouldn't worry about them at your age, if you eat a healthy diet you will be good.
