Hello all,

I'm not a body builder by any means but i do want to gain some muscle and i though who better to ask than you guys.

I've been working out for about a year now but about 8 months of that has been cardio. i've only been doing weights for about 3 months at most.

My training programme is basically a hard workout on a certain muscle group everyday and one days rest per week. i have also started taking on more protein. Got any tips to build faster or is this just going to take time?

I am 5ft 11 and weigh around 168lbs at the moment and i'm very lean.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

yes i was just saying what mygeeto stated eat big like alot of lean meat god carbs rice, potatoes.oats and vegies for vitamins and minerals these are the essentials of gettin big..train hard....and eventually youll get big..but you got to be consistant! and wtf would you need 2 grams of protein for? your body cant digest twice your body weight unless its going to get stored as fat?geez i dont like people who are always trying to act better or sound smarter..i was just making it simple!

listen get a good diet like , trye too eat from 150 too 200 grams of protein a day at least 150grams, eat 2000 too 3000 carbs a day like potato , rice , oatmeal, veggies, fruit,
for protein eat tunafish chicken, loads of beef and red meat, trye too devide this inntoo eating several times a day like in the morning when a good blend of long acting carbs and protein are important like eggs and wholegrain bread and a shake with some gainer protein , then eat lunch like veggies and chicken, then diner at 2 a clock like beef and backed potato, and right before training some pasta and a shake of protein, and right after training you down another shake and eat som fast acting carbs like pasta or rice and som chicken, and then the last meal right before you go too bed veggies !! like broccoli and som ground meat, this is jus a example of how too do it.

First off drop your current routine and pick up a 4 day routine, you can find a routine that suits you right here in the dungeon. Secondly get you diet in order, if you dont eat properly you wont grow, if you eat like shit you'll look like shit. Lastly start your training from scratch doing basic exercises like Squats, Flat Bench, Barbell Curls, Deadlifts, ect..and once you've built youself a decent platform you can go into sculpting your muscles.

1. have creatine before and after ur workout.
2. have a protein shake (30-40 mins) before ur workout.
3. workout for 2 days, then take a day off. continue this cycle.
4. eat 6-8 protein rich meals a day.
5. forget the shiny equipment in ur gym, go back to old school if u want to build big. excercises life flat bench press, weighted squats , bent barbell rows, deadlift etc.
