Let me explain what has worked for me...
I take 5grms 45minutes prior to training and 5grms 10-15 minutes after training. The second dose is to help
replenish what I just depleted.
You are correct, people respond differently to things. What works for me, may not work for you. It's all about experimenting with things to find the solution.
About the bloating, that's pretty much a normal thing with Creatine. But, if it bothers you, cut the dosage or try a different brand. Personally, I like the bloated look and feeling I get.
